On January 15, 2025, the CACA-OncoDaily-SPCC Cancer Summit was successfully held virtually. The event was organized by China Anti-Cancer Association (CACA), OncoDaily, Sharing Progress in Cancer Care (SPCC), and World Association for Integrative Oncology (WAIO). This international conference attracted nearly 20 million online viewers from over 10 countries, including China, U.S., Canada, UK, Switzerland, Germany, Spain, Armenia, Japan, and South Africa, etc.
◆ The summit gathered leading experts worldwide to share cutting-edge research findings and clinical practices on cancer prevention, treatment, and management. It was hosted by Prof. Qimin Zhan, Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, President of Peking University International Cancer Institute and National Institute of Health Data Science at Peking University. During the summit, Prof. Ying Wang, Vice President of CACA, Secretary General of Asian Oncology Society, Secretary General of World Association for Integrative Oncology, Prof. Matti Aapro, President of Sharing Progress in Cancer Care, Past President of the European Cancer Organisation, Past President of Multinational Association for Supportive Care in Cancer and Prof. Gevorg Tamamyan, Co-Founder and Editor-in-Chief of OncoDaily, President of the International Society of Pediatric Oncology Asian Continental Branch delivered the opening remarks on behalf of the CACA, OncoDaily, and SPCC.
◆ Prof. Daiming Fan, President of China Anti-Cancer Association, President of the Asian Oncology Society (AOS) and President of World Association for Integrative Oncology, delivered a keynote speech titled “Development of Holistic Integrative Management of Cancer in China”.
◆ Prof. Julie Gralow, Chief Medical Officer and Executive Vice President of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, Founder of the Women’s Empowerment Cancer Advocacy Network (WE CAN) gave a presentation on "Cancer Control in the USA".
◆ Prof. Isabel Rubio, President-Elect of the European Cancer Organization, Past President of the European Society of Surgical Oncology delivered a speech titled " Cancer Control in Europe".
◆ Prof. Jiong Wu, Executive Vice President and Chief Physician of Fudan University Shanghai Cancer Center gave a presentation on “CACA Guidelines for Holistic Integrative Management of Breast Cancer”.
◆ Prof. Guillermo Chantada, President of the International Society of Pediatric Oncology, delivered a keynote speech titled “Global Challenges for Pediatric Cancer Control”.
◆ The panel discussion was a highlight of this summit, where experts engaged in insightful exchanges on key topics. Prof. Daiming Fan emphasized the critical role of "integrative medicine" in cancer prevention, screening, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation, and introduced a new concept for advancing global cancer control through multi-disciplinary working model. Prof. Daiming Fan also shared the mission and vision of the WAIO. The experts actively discussed their countries' cancer screening programs, prevention strategies, and current challenges. There was agreement on the importance of early screening in reducing cancer mortality.
◆ The successful hosting of the 2025 CACA-OncoDaily-SPCC Cancer Summit marked the beginning of the China Anti-Cancer Association's international exchanges and collaborations for 2025, laying a foundation for enhancing its global academic influence and advancing the global cancer control movement.
