Prof. Dr. Alexander Mundinger is a specialist in Internal Medicine and Radiology. He was Director of the Radiologic Center of Niels-Stensen Clinics, Osnabrueck, since 1995, and directed the Breast Imaging and Intervention Section at Franziskus Hospital. He served as President of International Breast Ultrasound School (IBUS; 2005-2011) and Senologic International Society (SIS; 2015-2016) and is currently Vice-President (Europe) of SIS. A founding member of the DEGUM-level-3 breast ultrasound group, he is a national consensus expert in multimodal breast imaging. Since 2020, he has focused exclusively on senology. He is honorary member of several medical societies due to his scientific merits.
