Prof. Yogendra P Singh is a renowned cancer surgeon, academician, and researcher in Nepal. He is the founder and president of the Nepal Cancer Education Foundation. He has been credited as one of the founders of Nepal's premier oncology professional organization, the Nepal Oncology Society. Prof. Singh is the founding Board Member of the Asian Oncology Society. He is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology and a fellow of the International College of Surgeons.
Prof. Singh served as the former Research Director and Head of the Surgery Department at Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital, Institute of Medicine, Kathmandu. He is a medical graduate (MBBS) from the same institute and went on to pursue an MD (General Surgery) and PhD in Experimental Therapeutics (Tumor Angiogenesis) from Kansai Medical University, Osaka, Japan.
Prof. Singh is a prolific author with over 100 scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals, focusing on breast and GI cancers. He has been serving as an editor and reviewer for various international and local biomedical journals. He has been honored with various national and international awards for his significant contribution to cancer education, social service, and cancer research.
