CACA Delegation Returns with Honors from the 22nd World Congress on Breast Cancer & Breast Health

From May 8-10, 2025, a distinguished Chinese delegation, led by Professor Ying Wang, Vice President of China Anti-Cancer Association (CACA), attended the 22nd World Congress on Breast Cancer & Breast Healthcare and the 12th Caribbean Breast Symposium in Puerto Rico. Hosted by the Senologic International Society (SIS), this premier event brought together leading global experts in breast health.

Founded in 1976 by Dr. Charles-Marie Gross, a pioneer in modern breast imaging, in Strasbourg, France, SIS is the world's first international academic organization dedicated to breast cancer diagnosis and treatment. Committed to integrating global resources to advance breast health, SIS has grown into a prestigious international network spanning five continents with over 100 member societies.

**China Secures Hosting Rights for 23rd SIS World Congress on Breast Health**

Under the active promotion of SIS Council Member Prof. Xishan Hao, the 23rd World Congress on Breast Cancer & Breast Healthcare will be held in Tianjin, China from May 8-10, 2026. The congress is jointly organized by SIS and CACA, with Tianjin Medical University Cancer Institute & Hospital serving as the host institution.

At the opening ceremony, Vice President Ying Wang, on behalf of Prof. Xishan Hao, delivered a keynote address for the organizing committee. She highlighted CACA's remarkable achievements in recent years, including academic exchanges, guideline promotion, public education, and international collaboration, emphasizing its pivotal role in China's cancer prevention and control efforts.

She also introduced the congress host—Tianjin Medical University Cancer Institute & Hospital, the birthplace of China's oncology medicine. As home to Asia's largest breast cancer research and treatment center, the hospital leads the nation in breast cancer prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and research.

A promotional video showcased Tianjin's rich cultural heritage, inclusive spirit, and the hospital's developmental journey, earning widespread acclaim from attendees. Global experts expressed great anticipation for the 2026 gathering in Tianjin.

Current SIS President Prof. Vahit Ozman and President-Elect Prof. Carole Mathelin expressed their full support for China hosting the next congress, sharing their anticipation for a successful 2026 event.
